Great deal and great customer service
I always enjoyed rowing at the gym and it was my goto warmup, then recently I became unsteady and mostly homebound, but wanted a way to get a good workout. I knew a good rower could be expensive and had my doubts with this, but my only regret was not getting it earlier, even when I could easily go to the gym. Construction is sturdy and good quality: the metal rail, large cushy roller seat, lightly padded handles, roomy but adjustable foot rests, and stable, adjustable base. It was kinda heavy, but I was able to get the pieces upstairs separately and assembly was easy, will all metal connectors. The display/computer is very basic, but I usually just look at the time for now. Once I get back into shape, I might look at the speeds or do a sprint for distance, but you can definitely get a good workout even without that. The sunny app is great! The workouts are fun with good instruction and motivation. The only issue I had was with connecting to the app correctly. I sent feedback in the app and got connected to customer service and they ended up sending a new computer part, which fixed it! The app tracks your workouts and connects to the rower pretty easily, and I'm very glad I paid a little more to get the version with Bluetooth. There are lots of non-rowing workouts and even the rowing workouts include non-rowing exercises, and there's lots of variations to choose from, but finding or sorting through them is a little challenge until you bookmark your favorites. It's pretty easy to tilt up for storage, but I'm glad it's in a guest room where I can mostly leave it down.

    The machine is great but good luck if you need a part. It's not just the lack of easily contact the company – but it took me hours to get to the right portal!…then they wanted a list of things to see that you actually were a customer (the Rep I did get was/is very kind and professional, there's only on problem: they don't know if they have any in stock! Like I said, good luck getting the part = to be fair, the foot pedals I need were broken by me reengineering them. Fair is Fair.

    Broke down after 40-ish uses

    "Designed for lasting performance" is a total joke of a description for this rower. I used this lightly to compliment other workouts, never going above 4 on the tension dial. At a little over 180,000 meters rowed (somewhere around 40 uses) something internally broke and the handlebar would no longer retract. 40 uses is not what I would call lasting performance.

    Sunny says that I'm out of the warranty period, which seems laughably short for an item like this, and the part is going to cost a quarter of what I paid for the rower. This thing is headed to the dump and I suggest everyone avoid this. Save up for a better rower or use the money for a gym membership.

    I guess you get what you pay for. Overall it seems decently sturdy however the resistance is horrible. My 10 year old daughter doesn’t feel much at the highest level. I can’t truly see the workout. The resistance is not consistent.

    I am eighty years old and the resistance level is insufficient for a good workout. So the rowing is boring and seems like a waste of time. Good thing is that it is easy to store.

    This item does not work. Specifically the rowing mechanism. I taught contacted customer support immediately and they stated they would send a replacement part. Three weeks later and no replacement part. I contacted them again and they now told me I have to open the main machine and fix the rowing mechanism myself. I have no clue how to do that even with the instructions I do not have the tools nor the patients! Horrible customer service and defective part received. I am beyond the return window and I’m stuck with a with an item that is defective does not work.

    Have had the rower for a month. It was easy to set up. Like that you can put it away upright when not in use for those of us with not a lot of space. It works well and seat glides smoothly. It has an app for programs you can use if you're in to that but I just get on, set resistance and start rowing.

    I LOVE my Sunny Rower!! It arrived quickly, it was intact. Very good quality for the $, im so, so happy I chose this one! I was gonna get a more expensive rower, but im so glad i didn't, because this one has all the features and was way less expensive. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase! Ive had it for a year now I think, and its still like new and ive got over 25000 strokes on it.
