I have a small nose. This Vertex Power 1.5 onyx Amber fit and perform excellently. I immediately noticed the difference when reading from my phone, computer and tablet. I wanted to custom order from Gunnar’s website but custom ordering with a prescription is more expensive. I thought I would try these first. Unlike inexpensive readers from stores like Walmart or CVS, these glasses feel light yet durable and offer high-quality experience. They give me the impression of wearing glass lenses rather than plastic ones if that makes sense.

    These glasses made a big difference in my vision. When I received them, I put them on and started reading something from my phone. It was so much easier and not so tiring. I do have regular glasses that have computer tint and sets of computer glasses. Both have stopped working for me. My eyes were excessively tired at the end of the day even with breaks and such. I chose to get them with the reading magnification. This magnification is what my prescription glasses are set for. There is one downside to them. I was going to use them for a Teams meeting to read and present a ppt. What I noticed was the lens had a huge magnification and showed whatever it was I was looking at displayed on the lens. Some glasses have anti-glare. I just take them off when presenting and put on my other pair. I might order another pair that does have that on them. Some might not find this distracting. For every day for me, that work fantastic. I went and ordered another pair!! The frame has a little bit of weight to it and are not flimsy at all like some reading glasses can be. I do like how they fit and are comfortable to wear. Love this brand.

    I've worked in software development for more than 30 years and spend a significant amount of time in front of computer screens. While I do have prescription reading glasses, I often find myself reaching for these instead when working at my computer.

    They're comfortable, provide clear magnification, and are convenient to keep nearby throughout the day. An added bonus is that they double as safety glasses when I'm working on or under my car, giving me both eye protection and the magnification I need to see small details.

    This is my second pair, first one arrived with a missing screw (right temple), the temple unattached, no box, screw not in the plastic bag, and the remaining left temple was floppy and loose . Returned and Amazon gave me an immediate replacement. The next one arrived in a box The frames look good and have a great finish. The lenses are clear and optics excellent. As for the hinges they are tight, but lack springyness and do not snap shut. If you are looking for a great look, good optics and social media hype, these are what you want. However if you want high quality hinges, look elsewhere. You can get better quality with similar looks at a lower price. I would give them three stars if the finish wasn't as good and the optics weren't as good.

    All-purpose reading glasses

    These are great for my purposes. I have astigmatism and use reading glasses for reading, watching TV, and driving. I got the 1.50X versions, as my previous 1.25X ones weren't 'cutting the mustard', as they say. These lower-power glasses don't have enough magnification to cause problems judging distance, etc., yet they do a great job allowing me to see details both up close and afar. I also like that these are yellow-tinted, which is a big help in preventing eyestrain and headaches caused while viewing phone/computer screens and the overwhelming blue light prevalent on gray days. They also have the added safety advantage of emphasizing warm colors like red lights and stop signs.

    Why the engraved business name on the lens?

    I want to like these but they engrave "GUNNAR" on top, left side of left lense. The certain scenarios I can see it and it's distracting. Sadly, I returned these as the 65% UV protection is nice.

    Having read a number of negative reviews I ignored them and bought these glasses as a cheap backup to my prescribed glasses.
    They cost 10% of what I paid for a very nice pair of glasses with high quality frames and lenses.
    They are so comfortable I have just ordered 2 additional pairs just in case I break or lose the current pair.
    At this price point it is such good value. It’s possible the reviews you read are accurate regarding breakage but you are unlikely to find another pair of reading glasses of this quality and comfort for this price.

    Very good quality glasses, very clear for reading, definitely reduces blue light. My only issue was the £25 delivery charge that i got from UPS when they knocked on my door. I was not expecting that! if you're in the UK you are charged import VAT.

    Tuve que devolverlos. La razón principal es que se anuncian como lentes de lectura con graduación, sin embargo y me imagino que tienen un control de calidad deficiente ya que los lentes que me llegaron no tenían la graduación anunciada sino el + 0.20 que todas las gafas de esta marcan tienen.
    Una verdadera lástima, si me hacía ilusión poderlos probar y utilizar pero no era lo requerido., además que no vienen con el paño de microfibra que se anuncia.
